RAIN

The improvisation of rain

Pounds on an aluminum roof the same

Way frogs sing their golden-throated night songs in the swamp

Or how the viola might sound in my hands

Ever exuding a fragrance and color in sound

Rhythmic plumage resounds in silences

measure of time

and moment of pulsing rhyme

resistant battering

rainbow pillows in the sky of sound

drainage of soul song

in the roar of

mists
